Primary Objective of Position: Work in coordination with Senior Project Engineer / Team Lead for application design/development using LabVIEW, Prototype development, Functional testing, Production support.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Capture and draft requirement for the projects
2. Prepare detailed design documents, block diagrams using LabVIEW, test plan & test reports and get these documents reviewed by Lead
3. Perform final debug and validation of systems using LabVIEW, achieve final acceptance of systems with LabVIEW test applications & systems
4. Assume additional roles and responsibilities as required and be able to work independently

Required Skills:

1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – CSE, ECE, EEE, IT, Mechatronics
2. Hands on LabVIEW development experience of 1-2 years in Industrial Automation environment
3. Ability to develop large scale LabVIEW based applications
4. Must be able to develop/demonstrate architectural flow in basic coding skills using LabVIEW
5. Must be able to demonstrate customize/design and develop good GUI practices using LabVIEW
6. Must be able to demonstrate use of common NI toolsets in LabVIEW
7. Must have an eye for details and have experience of documenting project design requirements
8. Good oral and written communication skills
9. A willingness to learn is critical

Additional Desired skills:

1. Additional software skills (C/C++, Python, etc.)
2. Experience with LabVIEW version 2012 or greater with LabVIEW Vision development , Motion and Data Acquisition toolkits is an added advantage
3. CLD (Certified LabVIEW Developer)

Strong ownership of responsibilities, can be managed by objectives alone, but skilled at escalating issues when necessary. Strong hands-on troubleshooting for solving issues with systems and software debugging skills.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Interact with customers part of the sales cycle and in requirements gathering phases of their projects
2. Design and architect (primarily in LabVIEW) software in a scalable, reusable, and modular manner using advanced object-oriented model with quality standards
3. Keep yourself informed and up-to-date on the latest software engineering practices and tools for LabVIEW as well as other languages and platforms
4. Prepare detailed design documents, test plan & test reports and get these documents reviewed by Lead
5. Interact with other design team members to meet and optimize code
6. Perform final debug and validation of systems using LabVIEW, achieve final acceptance of systems with LabVIEW test applications & systems
7. Assume additional roles and responsibilities as required and be able to work independently

5. Should be willing to take additional responsibilities during the execution based on the business need
6. Familiarity with source code control and issue tracking

8. Good oral and written communication skills
